Request for Quotations

METHODS OF SUPPLY wiz-icon1

.81. Request for Quotations

An entity may engage in procurement by means of a request for quotations for the procurement of readily available goods or services that are not specially produced or provided to the particular description of the procuring entity and for which there is an established and competitive market.

  • Request for Quotation (RFQ) (Low Bid Version)

This format is for use in a simplified open competitive process for the procurement of standard goods and services on the basis of lowest price and standardized contract terms that will not require negotiation. This template differs from the RFB/ITT in that it does not create a binding process contract (i.e. no “Contract A” is formed).

  • Request for Quotation (RFQ) (High Score Version)

This format is for use in a simplified open competitive process for the procurement of standard goods and services on the basis of straightforward high-score evaluation criteria and standardized contract terms that will not require negotiation. This template differs from the  RFP in that it does not create a binding process contract (ie. no “Contract A” is formed).
